NLEX begins preps for AlDub's 'Sa Tamang Panahon' concert at Philippine Arena

The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) is making special preparations, including additional traffic teams and counterflow lanes, for the noontime show Eat Bulaga's "Sa Tamang Panahon" concert featuring sensational love team 'AlDub' at Philippine Arena in Bulacan this Saturday.

NLEX Spokesman Kiko Dagohoy told GMA News Online on Thursday that they are expecting over 50,000 attendees as ticket sales to the 55,000-seat venue Arena were easily sold out.

“10 a.m. mayroon na silang production number so most likely around 8 to 9 a.m. ang arrival ng attendees sa South Bound side ng NLEX,” he said.

NLEX is deploying at least 160 traffic personnel assisted by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Highway Patrol Group.

He also said counterflow lanes will be placed at the NLEX Marilao area which will be opened when there is a build up of traffic.

Aside from this, Dagohoy said they will strictly enforce no parking along the expressway just like during the Iglesia Ni Cristo's event last September.

“Kung paano nagprepare sa ibang event sa Philippine Arena, it will be the same with 'Sa Tamang Panahon' concert this Saturday,” he said.

Dagohoy also asked the public to steer clear of the Philippine Arena area or plan ahead to avoid being inconvenienced this coming Saturday.

“We advise our motorists na mag plano ng biyahe nila ngayong Sabado, either mag biyahe ahead of time or hintayin hanggang matapos yung event ng Eat Bulaga,” he said.

The 'Sa Tamang Panahon' concert which is touted to be the biggest Eat Bulaga gathering in the noontime show's 36 years is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to around 3 p.m.

Proceeds of the concert will be used to create AlDub libraries across the nation. —JST, GMA News
