8-hour power interruption to hit Nueva Ecija on Friday
A scheduled eight-hour power outage will hit some areas in Nueva Ecija on Friday.
In an advisory on Wednesday, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said that the brownout is due to the scheduled shutdown of some of its transmission facilities in the province.
It said, the power outage will start at 9 a.m. on Friday and will last until 5 p.m.
Affected distribution utilities include:
1. Nueva Ecija II Electric Cooperative, Inc. –Area 2 (NEECO II-Area 2)
2. Nueva Ecija I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NEECO I )
Areas to be affected include Sta Rosa, San Leonardo, Peñaranda, General Tinio, Fort Magsaysay, San Isidro, Gapan, San Antonio, Jaen, and Cabiao.
The shutdown is to facilitate clearing of critical vegetation and corrective maintenance works along the Cabanatuan-San Isidro 69kV lines 1 and 2.
Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion, it said.
Moreover, it said customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations, adding that specific cities, municipalities, and barangays that are to be affected are determined by the two distribution facilities, unless the activity affects the entire franchise area. — LBG, GMA News
