Typhoon Nona floods Aurora, Marinduque; no power yet in N. Samar
Heavy rains due to Typhoon Nona on Tuesday flooded parts of Dingalan, Aurora and Boac, Marinduque, a report on News To Go said on Wednesday.
Some rivers in Dingalan overflowed and water reached the roads.
Fishermen were prevented from going out to sea due to the bad weather.
The local government said it has readied relief goods for distribution to affected residents.
Marinduque
In Boac, Marinduque, meanwhile, what was once a peryahan or circus was flooded.
Vendors' wares were all wet due to the heavy rain.
Even the giant Christmas tree in the area was not spared from Typhoon Nona's wrath.
Leyte
In Mahalpag, Leyte, one pick-up truck almost fell off a cliff due to the slippery road.
The vehicle slammed on a guardrail, preventing its fall.
Northern Samar
Meanwhile, in Allen, Northern Samar, power has yet to be restored.
Heavy rain and strong winds toppled down trees in the town and obstructed roads.
Telecommunication signals were also down in Allen, making it difficult to get more information from the local government, the report said. —KG, GMA News
