DPWH announces rerouting scheme for bridge construction in CamSur

The Department of Public Works and Highways on Thursday advised motorists going to and from Camarines Sur to familiarize other routes to take during the replacement works on the San Miguel Bridge along Maharlika Highway in Nabua town.

In a traffic advisory posted on the Official Gazette, the DPWH said that starting March 3, buses and cargo trucks will have to follow a rerouting scheme to avoid delays.

It said that the old two-lane San Miguel Bridge will be closed to traffic and access to the constructed detour bridge will be limited to light vehicles only.

For buses and trucks, four other routes may be followed:

1) 18.860 kilometers Pawili Pili, Bula Proper, Panoypoyan, Topas Proper, Tanday Jct.
2) 16.657 kilometers Baao-Iriga City-Masoli-Crossing Bato
3) 19.348 kilometers Baao (Div)-Nabua-Iriga City-Masoli-Bato
4) 36.5 kilometers Nabua Poblacion Intersection-Tandaay JCt.-Bonbon-Libon-(Daang Maharlika) Kinale Polangui

Also, the DPWH said traffic advisories along Daang Maharlika and detour routes were earlier installed for the guidance of the general public.
