Woman dupes teachers into paying P100k for non-existent gadgets, appliances
A woman posing as an employee of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) duped public teachers in Tayabas City, Quezon into paying at least P100,000 in down payments for gadgets and appliances that do not actually exist.
The suspect, who used the name Nana San Diego, arrived at the Luis Palad National High School in Tayabas on Friday morning and told teachers that the BOC is selling gadgets, laptops and appliances.
GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño reported that the teachers immediately chose the items that they want to buy and paid San Diego down payments, amounting a total of at least P100,000.
The victims said they believed San Diego since she is a friend of one of the school's teachers.

San Diego then asked two male teachers to travel with her in Alabang to collect the gadgets and appliances from a warehouse.
Upon arrival in front of a warehouse in Alabang, San Diego and the two teachers stopped by a convenience store for a meal.
The suspect then told the two teachers that she'll just smoke outside, but she did not return.
After a few hours of waiting, the two male teachers realized that they have been duped by San Diego.
The teachers have filed a complaint at the Alabang Police Station, which is already investigating the incident.
The other teachers who were also victimized by San Diego have learned that city hall employees were also duped by the suspect with the same modus. —Rie Takumi/ALG, GMA News
