13 marijuana plantations discovered in Benguet

Authorities discovered P15 million worth of marijuana in 13 cannabis plantations in Benguet, a report from Unang Balita on Tuesday said.

The plantations were in different sites and were identified after a two-day operation.

Authorities are still tracking down the owner and operator of the said farm.

The police assured that they are doing their best to stop the trade of illegal drugs in the province.

In December last year, police seized 300 kilos of marijuana from Benguet. 

In 2014, 11 cannabis plantations were burned by authorities in the municipalities of Bakun and Kibungan in Benguet. —Kiersnerr Gerwin Tacadena/KG, GMA News
