Sex video of suspended Camarines Norte Gov. Tallado played in public market

Authorities arrested five men caught showing the alleged sex video of suspended Camarines Norte Governor Edgardo Tallado in a public market in the municipality of Labo on Friday evening, a report on Unang Balita on Monday said.

Supporters of Tallado immediately took action and confronted the operators of the van carrying the LED screen used to show the video.

Under a municipal ordinance, such obscene material is not permitted to be shown in public places.

The video was played while children were around, the report said.

Meanwhile, LP counsel Archimedes Yanto confirmed that the five people arrested work for the party.

According to him, there is nothing wrong with the public exhibition of the video because it has already been seen by many.

The five violators have immediately posted bail.

In March last year, the Camarines Norte governor sued at least five people in the province for allegedly posting photos on Facebook that insinuated he had an extra-marital affair.

Following the spread of the scandal and controversy, LP removed Tallado from its roster of members

Several women’s groups have already called for Tallado’s resignation due to the controversy.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Ombudsman suspended Tallado in October last year over his failure to reinstate provincial veterinarian Dr. Edgardo Gonzales despite an order from the Civil Service Commission issued in 2013. —Kiersnerr Gerwin Tacadena/KG, GMA News
