3 shooting incidents reported in Bulacan town in 12 hours
Three shooting incidents were reported in a town in Bulacan province in a span of just 12 hours, police reported Sunday.
Police recorded the first shooting incident at the residence of Joselito Antonio, chairman of Barangay San Roque at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Antonio he was warned by a cousin by phone that a man riding a motorcycle entered their compound. When he went out to check, a man pulled out a gun and fired at his house.
Caloy Garcia, a relative of town mayoral candidate Ferdie Estrella, went to the local police station and brought a spent shell.
Garcia claimed that a motorcycle-riding man fired at his house in Barangay Cristo between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
The complainant believes the supposed attack was related to politics.
Meanwhile, gunmen fired at the house of Ariston Mercado, chairman of Barangay Paitan, at around 9 a.m. Sunday.
Superintendent Satur Ediong, director of the Baliuag Provincial Police Office, said they are investigating the shooting incidents. —Joseph Tristan Roxas/ALG, GMA News
