16-hr power outage to hit Isabela and Ifugao provinces

Residents in the provinces of Isabela and Ifugao in northern Luzon will experience a 16-hour brownout on Saturday, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines said Friday.

In an advisory, the NGCP said the power interruption is due to a scheduled effort to restore power transmission service in affected areas.

The commissioning and restoration work to power a new 100MVA power transformer at Santiago Substation on June 11 (Saturday) will begin at 8 a.m. and expected to be finished by 12 midnight.

Also, the NGCP said it will exert all efforts to restore power transmission service as scheduled or even earlier. — LBG, GMA News
