Duterte during his thanksgiving party in Davao City on June 4 said that drug lords’ killers will get P5 million in reward. He also urged the public to go after suspected drug pushers and kill them if they resist citizens’ arrest.
"Kaya kayong nandiyan sa neigborhood feel free to call us, the police, or do it yourself if you have the gun. Inaaresto kita bilang isang kriminal and I am invoking the criminal law of the land on the selling of shabu. Sumama ka sa akin sa istasyon. I have to bring you to the (police) station," he said.
Duterte also plans to ask Congress to pass a law reimposing capital punishment for heinous crimes.
