Flood destroys temporary bridge in Abra; 3 barangays affected

A swollen river has destroyed a temporary bridge in Abra province in northern Luzon, isolating three barangays around the area.

Unang Balita reported Wednesday that affected residents use river rafts as a means of transportation.

GMA News stringer Argie Lorenzo told Unang Balita that heavy rains had caused Abra River to overflow, wrecking the bridge that connected Sallapadan, Bucloc and  Daguioman towns.

Residents are now asking authorities for a permanent bridge, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
