Barangay chief, friend killed in Cavite anti-drug raid

Two drug suspects were killed in an alleged shootout with police anti-narcotic operatives in Cavite on Thursday.

Citing police information, GMA News' Oscar Oida reported Friday on Unang Balita that the chairman of Barangay Sabang in Naic town and his friend were killed in Thursday's anti-drug operation.

An initial police investigation showed that the barangay chief, who was allegedly a leader of a drug group in the area.

But the family and friends of the chairman expressed doubts about the police report on the incident, the report said.  — LBG, GMA News
