Son named suspect in killing of Cebu businesswoman

A 73-year-old woman in Cebu City was found dead Tuesday, a day after she was reported missing, according to a report on "24 Oras."

The report said the body of Milagros Lapatha was found inside an abandoned house on Tuesday morning. Initial investigation showed she died after being hit several times by a hard object.

Named suspect in the killing was Lapatha's 38-year-old son Jonito.

According to the police, the suspect got mad at his mother, who ran a piggery business, because the money given to him was not enough to pay his debt related to his illegal drug use.
