100 families lose homes after strong waves hit coast of Manapla, Negros Occidental

Strong waves hit the coastline of the municipality of Manapla in Negros Occidental, destroying the homes of about 100 families, a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday said.

Due to the strong winds, roofs came off many nipa houses and debris fell on the beach.

Even boats anchored near the shore were not spared from the strong waves.

The local government promised to extend assistance to those affected by the calamity. —KG, GMA News
