3 arrested in Ilocos Norte for illegal fishing

Three men were arrested for illegal fishing in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, a TV report said Tuesday.

The Unang Balita report said the men, who are cousins, were caught fishing in a stream using an improvised electric fishing device.

Aside from their device, a kilo of eel, locally known as "igat," was seized from the men, who spent New Year in jail, it added.
