Abandoned house in Cainta was a 'shabu lab'


Authorities conducted a raid of a shabu laboratory on Tuesday that could produce up to P250M worth of shabu in one week.

 

 

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives found various chemicals, machines and apparatus inside an abandoned house in Barangay San Isidro, Cainta in Rizal province, GMA News'  Athena Imperial reported on "Saksi."

A joint operation was conducted by the Cainta police force, SWAT, and PDEA at two-storey house at Amadeo corner Alfonoso streets inside Vista Verde Executive Village late Tuesday evening.

 

 

PDEA officials confirmed that the chemicals and apparatus found at the site are the usual items used to produce from 50 kilograms to 100 kilograms of shabu in one week that could be worth up to P250,000,000.

"Nakikipagcoordinate din ang may-ari kasi sa pulisya kasi nagduda na rin sila e," said Cainta Chief of Police Supt. Elpidio Ramirez.

In a separate interview, PDEA Deputy Director General Ricardo Quinto said, "Inuupahan daw ito Chinese, Korean looking na lalaki."

Authorities are presently searching for the person to whom the house is leased as well as the one in-charge of the shabu laboratory. — BAP, GMA News
