Suspect’s dad involved in road mishap that killed motorist 2 weeks ago

David Lim Sr., father of the suspect involved in a road rage shooting incident in Cebu City, recently got involved in a road accident which killed a motorcycle rider, GMA News' Raffy Tima reported on Balitanghali on Tuesday. 

The elder Lim killed the motorcycle rider two weeks ago, March 4, after a road accident in Cebu City. The name of the victim was not disclosed. 

The report said the family of the victim are considering pressing charges against Lim. 

The legal counsel of Lim said they were willing to extend assistance to the victim's family. 

Lim's son and namesake, David Lim Jr., got involved in a road rage incident early Sunday morning along F. Gonzales Street in Barangay Kamputhaw, where he shot nurse Ephraim Nuñal several times in his feet and legs.

The younger Lim was caught in a dashcam video shooting Nuñal following their road altercation and fleeing the scene with his companion.

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña later revealed that Lim was related to suspected drug lord Peter Lim, who was earlier tagged by President Rodrigo Duterte as the drug lord under the alias "Jaguar" of Visayas.
