Duterte names 19 new judges in the Visayas
President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed 19 new judges in the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, and Negros Oriental.
The appointment is dated 6th of February in a letter addressed to Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno that was received only on Monday, April 10,2017.
In the letter signed by Acting Executive Secretary Menardo Guevarra, out of the 19 lawyers given appoinments 11 are assigned to Cebu courts.
These are: Fritz Ritchie Navarro Avila for MTCC, Naga City; Jennifer Pepito-Maniwang for MTCC 1, Mandaue City; Dinah Jane Gaceta-Portugal for MTCC 2, Lapu-Lapu City; Maryther Heyrosa-Budomo for MTCC 3, Lapu-Lapu City; Amy Rose Soler-Rellin for MTCC 9, Cebu City; Pamela Monica Navarette-Arbuis for MTCC 10, Cebu City; Vivien Leigh Santiago-Lumangtad for MTCC 11, Cebu City.
Also appointed were Tranne L. Digao-Ferrer for MTCC 12, Cebu City; Virginia Vivencita Lim-Monteclar for MTCC 13, Cebu City; Irish Inabangan-Amores, MTCC 14, Cebu City; and Ameli Rabor Estrada for the 7th Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Liloan-Compostela in Cebu.
In Bohol, Meriam Garrote-Alcantara for MTC in Loon; Mildred Renoblas Maglajos for 3rd MCTC in Inabanga-Buenavista; Meriam Ballener-Tradio 10th MCTC in Jagna-Garcia-Hernandez; Prince Joses Lim for 11th MCTC in Valencia-Dimlao; Joseph Baton for 12th MCTC in Lila-Loboc; and Joy Aangelica Santos Doctor for MTCC Branch 4 in Tagbilaran City.
For Negros Oriental, Ethyl Eleccion-Vidal was appointed at the MTCC in Canlaon City while Ma. Corazon Sarrosa Perez will be at the MTC in Sta. Catalina.
The new judges will take their oath of office within 10 days upon receipt of a letter from the Judicial and Bar Council. — BAP, GMA News
