30 armed men storm Valencia security agency, seize firearms
At least 30 armed men believed to be New People's Army members seized several firearms from a security agency office on Friday night in Valencia City, Bukidnon.
Supt. Lemuel Gonda, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 10, said the suspected NPA rebels stormed the Dasia Security Agency's office , located at the house of a certain Joel Ariola, is located in Purok 17, Hindangon, Barangay Poblacion, at around 6:05 p.m.
The armed men, disguised as policemen, took two AK 47 rifles, an M16 rifle, three shot guns and three 38 revolvers.
The armed men are believed to be part of the NPA's sub-region guerilla unit.
Initial investigation showed that at first 15 armed men, wearing police uniforms, announced that they are serving a search warrant.
The rest of the armed men, dressed in police camouflage uniforms, blocked the road leading to the office.
Police Officer 1 Emilio Traya of the Maramag Municipal Police Station was disarmed of his 9mm Glock pistol at the roadblock.
The men boarded a black Toyota Hi-lux pick up, a DT motorcycle, Honda XR, and two of Dasia security's armored vans.
