Hailstones fall in Cotabato

As heavy rain poured down in Surallah, South Cotabato, hailstones – small balls of ice – also fell from the skies, catching residents of Barangay Poblacion by surprise, a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday said.

According to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, the hailstones were about the size of corn kernels.

It said that the occurrence may be due to climate change.
