Pre-trial of Tawi-Tawi Rep. Sahali-Tan over SALN raps moved to August

The Sandiganbayan has reset the pre-trial of Tawi-Tawi Rep. Ruby Sahali-Tan for her cases over her alleged failure to file her Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN).

The pre-trial, scheduled on Thursday, was postponed to August 22 to give the prosecution additional time to finish the marking of their exhibits.

The court has set another preliminary conference for the case on June 21.

Sahali-Tan has been charged with six counts of violating Section 8 of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees for failing to file her SALNs under oath or on time as vice governor of Tawi-Tawi from 2008 to 2013.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges. —KG, GMA News
