PDEA agent beats up clerk at net cafe where his son plays games too much

An agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency based in Pagadian City is in hot water after being caught on closed-circuit camera beating up a clerk at an internet cafe where his son supposedly played games until the wee hours of the morning.

CCTV footage aired in a report by Emil Sumangil on "24 Oras" on Thursday showed the suspect Pedrito Suano Jr. pointing his firearm at Jonathan Tibudan, a clerk at the internet cafe.

Suano, an agent of PDEA Zamboanga Del Sur, repeatedly hit the victim with his pistol. One of the patrons of the cafe tried to restrain to no avail.

Suano again kicked the victim as he was about to leave and hit another bystander on his way out.

The incident has been already reported to the police.

At the police station, Suano explained that he was unable to control his anger since the internet cafe was where his son plays online games.

He has since apologized for the incident but the internet cafe's owner will press charges against Suano. —JST, GMA News
