Magnitude-5.2 quake joggles Davao Occidental


A magnitude-5.2 earthquake shook Davao Occidental at 8:58 p.m. Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The quake struck 38 kilometers northwest of Sarangani town and was tectonic in origin.

It was felt at Intensity III in Sarangani town and Intensity II in General Santos City and Glan, Sarangani province.

Though no damage was expected from the quake, Phivolcs warned of possible aftershocks. — DVM, GMA News
