Pump boat with around 60 passengers capsizes off Romblon; 7 dead

Seven people died after a pump boat with almost 60 passengers capsized off Romblon on Friday morning.

A report on Balitanghali on Saturday initially said five bodies were recovered from the water, but GMA News' stringer Paul Jaysent Fos reported later in the day that the number of fatalities has risen to seven as of 3:53 p.m.

The Balitanghali report said 51 passengers of the pump boat were rescued.

The report said one of the passengers recalled that they had almost experienced zero visibility during the mishap due to the bad weather.
