Bohol hospital receives bomb threat, evacuates patients for a few hours

A private hospital in Tagbilaran City, Bohol had to evacuate its patients after receiving a bomb threat on Tuesday afternoon.

The staff of the Borja Family Hospital was busy with several cleft palate surgery patients when the information desk received a phone from a man speaking in Tagalog that a bomb was about to explode.
The Bohol Provincial Police was informed of the phone call and a n Explosives and Ordnance team was sent to the hospital premises.
Patients at the hospital were evacuated as well as all the staff members.
“Yun nga actually, it started from a phone call. So, we responded right away. sa akin lamang, i don’t want anybody hurt. Four times inikutan until finally, all of them went inside. i want to to make sure na clear before we finally declared it clear," said Bohol Police Provincial Office Director Senior Supt. Felipe Natividad.
"'Yung tumawag we are investigating. kasi landline, it’s not cellphone,. may CCTV . mayroon ding alleged na may pumasok na suspicious but we will check on that," he added.
