5 killed, 9 hurt in Tarlac truck-jeep collision

Five people were killed and nine others wounded  in a collision involving a truck and passenger jeepney in Tarlac City on Thursday. 

GMA News "Unang Balita" reported that those killed include four passengers from the jeepney and the truck's helper.

On the other hand, the drivers of both vehicles and seven others on the jeep were wounded in the incident. 

An initial investigation showed that the truck involved tried to overtake another truck before it collided with the passenger jeepney on the opposite lane.

The wounded victims were brought to the hospital, while authorities are investigating the incident.  —LBG, GMA News
