Local bidding exec shot dead in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan; P250k reward dangled

The Bids and Awards Committee chairperson of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan died after being shot by unidentified suspects, GMA News' Victoria Tulad reported Wednesday on Balitanghali.

The report cited police investigation that said five individuals on board an SUV and a motorcycle opened fire on Orpha Velasquez just as she was getting out of her car.

Velasquez eventually died after being taken to the hospital.

Authorities have yet to indicate whether the motive behind the killing had something to do with his position as Bids and Awards Committee chairperson.
