2 missing in Bohol landslide

Two people were believed to be buried alive after a landslide occurred on Monday afternoon in Barangay Cadabong, Anda town, Bohol province.
The victims were identified as Valeriano Galeya and Ariel Abac, both residents of Barangay Cadabong.
The Anda Police reported that Galeya and Abac were at the limestone quarry site when the landslide occurred.
The driver of a mini dump truck was able to run to safety on time.
It has not been raining in the area, but residents believe the loosened soil was brought about by Typhoon Basyang, which hit the province last month.
The locals received assistance from rescuers from the towns of Pilar, Alicia, Candijay, Guindulman and Duero.
But the search and retrieval operation was postponed on Monday evening but work will resume on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, authorities are checking whether the quarry site operation was legal. — BAP, GMA News
