Wounded dolphin rescued in Quezon

A Risso's dolphin was found wounded on Sunday near the shore of Barangay Milawid, Panukulan, Quezon, according to a report on Unang Balita on Monday.

Due to its injuries, the dolphin could hardly swim and showed signs of weakness.

Personnel of the Municipal Agriculture Office immediately attended to the three-meter-long dolphin which weighed 180 kilos.

They tried to bring the dolphin out to sea but it kept going back to shore.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Panukulan said they will observe the dolphin and ensure it is stronger before they bring it out to sea. —Peewee Bacuño/KG, GMA News
