Delivery truck rams posts, falls into ravine in Benguet; 2 dead

Two persons died after a delivery truck fell into a ravine in Tuba, Benguet on Saturday night.

Police identified the fatalities as Bobby Velayo and Alvin Garces, residents of Nueva Ecija.

The Tuba Municipal Police Station said the victims' truck containing vegetables was bound for Pugo, La Union when it rammed an electric post and fell into a ravine along the national highway in Barangay Taloy Sur at around 11 p.m.

The truck's driver, Joe Pigson, survived the accident, but was in a critical condition at the Agoo Nazarene Hospital. —ALG, GMA News
