3 dead, several injured in Bacolod City accident

Three tricycle passengers died while others were injured in an accident in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental early Thursday morning.

Senior Police Officer 2 June Garong of Bacolod City Police Office 4 identified the fatalities as Erlinda Villar, Melinda Disoro, and Rodelyn Nasis.

The tricycle was hit by a Ford Eco Sport along BS Aquino Drive in Barangay Villamonte.

A rescue team responded to the emergency and immediately gave first aid treatment to the victims.

According to an initial report, the tricycle had seven passengers who were on their way home from the hospital when the accident occurred.
