47 residents affected by chemical leak in Davao City

At least 47 residents in Barangay Sasa, Davao City suffered dizziness and nausea from the foul smell of a leaked chemical found inside one of the houses, as seen in a report Thursday on Unang Balita.

Respondents found the source of the foul smell in a house where a Rehil Daya, who had long left the barangay, left 55 containers filled with an unknown liquid substance.

The smell came from one of 55 containers that broke and leaked its contents.

All of the containers were taken to the Environmental Management Bureau of Davao City to have its contents identified for disposal. —Rie Takumi/KG, GMA News
