Bus rams tree along highway in Quezon; 10 passengers hurt

Ten people were hurt, three of them sustained severe injuries, after a passenger bus rammed a tree along Quirino Highway in Tagkawayan, Quezon at past midnight Monday.

The Tagkawayan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said the accident happened in Barangay Sta. Cecilia.

The Our Lady of Salvacion Bus Lines unit coming from Tabaco, Albay and bound for Manila rammed the tree after its driver lost control of the wheels.

The bus had 59 passengers when the accident happened.

Authorities have yet to release the identities of the injured victims rushed to the Tagkawayan District Hospital.
