Most wanted drug suspect killed in Bulacan shootout —police

A most wanted drug suspect was killed in a shootout during a police operation on Thursday night in Bulacan, police said.

Authorities claimed that Dennis Santos, the target of the anti-drug operation in Barangay  Santisima Trinidad of Malolos City, resisted arrest and shot it out with lawmen, Unang Balita reported Friday.

Malolos Police chief Superintendent Heryl Bruno said Santos opened fire during the buy-bust operation, forcing the cops to fire back.

Recovered at the scene was a cal. 38 hand gun, 15 sachets of suspected shabu, and P40,000 cash.

Bulacan authorities are verifying information that Santos was also involved in robbery-holdup activities. —LBG, GMA News
