4 drug suspects arrested in Laguna

Four drug suspects were arrested in a buy bust operation conducted in San Pedro, Laguna, John Consulta reported on Saksi.

The suspects were identified by six drug suspects who were earlier arrested in buy bust operations conducted in Cabuyao and Biñan.

Initial investigation showed that the suspects were all from Maguindanao province.

The police are currently processing a cellphone of one of the suspects for information that could be used in follow up operations.

One of the suspects, identified as Zuharto Asim Diong, said they were together in one car as they were on their way to attend worship services.

The police recovered, from several operations, P700,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Police Superintendent Edwin Carranza, PRO 4A regional director, said, the focus of the police operations is to disrupt the supply of illegal drugs on the streets.

"Supply reduction, putulin natin kung saan nagmula ang mga bawal na gamot. 'Yung nagbebeta kasi ng maliitang shabu ang naapektuhan diyan 'yung mga estudyante, driver mabawasan nating ang nagiging addict," he said. — BAP, GMA News
