Alleged drug lord shot dead inside Mandaue City Jail

Alleged drug lord Steve Go was shot dead Tuesday by an inmate inside the Mandaue City Jail, according to a report by RGMA's Norman Mendoza on Super Radyo dzBB.

The report said Go was shot at around 11 a.m. He died from a bullet wound to the head.

No other details were available about the shooting as of posting time, as the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology said all statement pertaining to the incident would come from its legal counsel.

The report said authorities, during a raid on Go's cell last week, recovered mobile phones and assorted drug paraphernalia. He is said to have continued his illegal operations even while incarcerated.

Go's remains were brought to the Mandaue City Hospital. —KBK, GMA News
