In an advisory sent on Saturday, Maynilad said the production of La Mesa Treatment Plants 1 and 2 were reduced as of Friday due to the increased turbidity levels in the raw water coming from Ipo Dam.
"We had to reduce our water production to ensure that our treatment plants can remove the increased sediments from the raw water," the company said.
This resulted in low pressure, no water service, or some discoloration in water supply in portions of Quezon City, Malabon, Navotas, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Manila, Makati, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Imus City, Bacoor City, Cavite City, and Kawit, Rosario and Noveleta in Cavite Province, Maynilad said.
The company said any inquiries may be coursed through their hotlines 1626 (for Metro Manila) and 1800-1000-92837 (for Cavite). —KG, GMA News
