After 1 death, 23 patients taken to better hospital from Itbayat

Twenty-three dengue patients from Itbayat town have been transferred to the Batanes General Hospital in Basco, following an outbreak of the mosquito-born disease.

A report by Divine Reyes on Super Radyo dzBB on Saturday said the patients have been transferred for better medical attention at the BGH.

The report also said that one dengue patient had died before the mass transfer of patients could be undertaken.

Local health officials have reminded Itbayat residents to heed advice to brace themselves against the deadly disease. —LBG, GMA News
