5.2 magnitude earthquake hits Occidental Mindoro


A 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolted Abra De Ilog, Occidential Mindoro on Friday evening, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

The advisory said the quake, which hit 10:40 p.m., is tectonic in origin with a depth of 111 kilometer.

The PHIVOLCS recorded Intensity IV in Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro; Puerto Galera, Orinetal Mindoro while Intensity II was reported in Pasig City and Quezon City.

Instrumental Intensities were reported in the following areas:

Intensity IV in Calatagan, Batangas; Pueto Galera

Intensity III in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; Bacoor, cavite; Las Piñas City; Muntinlupa City; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Olongapo City

Intensity I in Gumaca, Quezon; Marikina City; San Juan City; Quezon City; San Ildefonso and Malolos, Bulaca; Guagua, Pampanga
