Friday marked the second day of search operations since the massive landslide buried houses in Barangay Naalad and Sitio Sindulan in Barangay Tinaan early Thursday morning.
According to an update on GMA News TV's Balita Pilipinas Ngayon, rescuers were able to find a total of eight survivors so far.
The latest was a 12-year-old girl who was rescued around midnight. She was reportedly the only one in her family to survive the landslide.
The PDRRMO also said a survivor still trapped under the dirt and rocks had sent a text message, indicating he or she was still alive.
