20 hurt as bus hits tricycle in La Union

Twenty people were injured after a passenger bus hit a tricycle in Bauang, La Union, according to a report on Balitanghali by Mariz Umali on Tuesday.

The two passengers of the tricycle were in critical condition.

Police investigation showed the bus driver lost control of his vehicle, hit the tricycle, and went straight into a ricefield.

Investigators are still checking if the accident was due to human error or mechanical error.

Cagayan

Meanwhile, in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, two persons aboard a motorcycle were injured after they tried to overtake another vehicle.

They were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Occidental Mindoro

A motorcycle and a tricycle figured in an accident in Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro.

The tricycle crossed an intersection when it was hit by a motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a teacher, was injured.

The tricycle driver paid for the treatment of the victim. 

Misamis Oriental

Meanwhile, in Manticao, Misamis Oriental, a military truck fell off a bridge.

Police investigation showed the truck's brakes failed.

Three soldiers, who were drunk at the time, were hurt.
