MSU-Iligan grad tops metallurgical engineering board exam
ILIGAN CITY - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday announced that 49 out of 68 passed the Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examination given earlier this month.
Dahr Tur Madayan Silao of the Mindanao State University—Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) topped the exam with a rating of 88.6 percent.
Charmaine Rainog Pangilinan and Hans Dominic Aldaba Angelo of University of the Philippines—Diliman ranked second and third with ratings of 84 percent and 83.95 percent, respectively.
Prof. Sukarno Tanggol, MSU-IIT Chancelor, said this is not the first time that a graduate topped the said licensure exam.
However, for the first time, six MSU-IIT graduates made it to the top ten list. These are: Silao, Angelica Barrios Alvizo, Glide Manzano Espina, Jerald Mark Maregmen Gestupa, Aljon Rey Alejandre Lagayada, and Yanno-Ray Montecillo Cahiles.
Tanggol said Silao graduated with honors and is the school Summa Cum Laude. — BAP, GMA News
