Magnitude 6.0 quake hits Pagadian


A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck Pagadian City in Zamboanga Del Sur on Sunday afternoon, data released by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology revealed.

According to PHIVOLCS, the earthquake was tectonic in origin, and hit 10 kilometers north of Pagadian City 3:55 p.m. on Sunday with a 608-kilometer depth of focus.

While no damage has been reported as of posting, PHIVOLCS said aftershocks are expected. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA News
