Househelp's ex-lover kills 2 children in South Cotabato
Two children were stabbed dead on Wednesday morning by the former lover of a househelp based in Surallah, South Cotabato, according to a report on Unang Balita.
The suspect, identified as George Cudilla, entered the Pamplona residence around 8 a.m. on Wednesday armed with a knife and looking for his former live-in partner, Helen Labatos.
Labatos was able to leave the house unnoticed.
Cudilla, not finding Labatos, saw the children and proceeded to stab 10-month-old Jannah Grace then five-year-old Cherish Joy.
After committing the crime, Cudilla entered a room and killed himself.
The children and the suspect were brought to the hospital but they died on the same day.
At the time of the incident, the parents of the children were at work while the eldest child was in school.
Janet, the victims' mother, said Cudilla is brokenhearted after he parted ways with Labatos last October 28.
It was reported that Labatos, who is now staying with relatives, has fallen in love with someone else.
