Videoke bar cashier in Davao City escapes wrath of jealous husband

A cashier, who works at a videoke bar in Davao City, escaped from being shot in close range by the jealous husband of a co-worker, according to a report on Unang Balita.

A CCTV footage showed the suspect, identified as Sofronio Toriba Jr., talking to the cashier.

A few seconds after Toriba pulls out a gun, points it at the cashier and pulls the trigger.

Quick-thinking, the victim slipped out of his seat to run away from the shooter.

Officials said Toriba thought that his wife, who works as a waitress at the establishment, is in a relationship with the cashier.

The suspect, meanwhile, said he meant only to scare the victim and not kill him.

The suspect is detained and facing complaints of attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. — BAP, GMA News
