The 14-kilometer Aringay-Tubao route will cut the travel time from La Union to Benguet from two hours to 35 minutes.
Travel time from La Union to Baguio City will also be reduced to one hour from the previous 2 hours and 25 minutes.
On the other hand, the Anduyan Bridge is also expected to decongest traffic along the Marcos Highway, considering that the landslide-prone Kennon Road is still closed to the motorists.
Meanwhile, in Barlig town in Mountain Province, the reconstruction of Lunas Bridge which was previously destructed by Typhoon Rosita in October was already completed.— Dona Magsino/ LDF, GMA News
