The victim identified by police as Leonard Dorimon, Jr. was brought to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Two other occupants of the house, a three-year-old girl named Andrea Auditor and grandmother Teresita Auditor, 60, were rushed to the hospital.

Both injured victims were standing by the entrance of the house when the rockslide occurred at around 3 p.m.

Leonard Dorimon, father of the boy, said he went out of their house to wash and clean his motorcycle when he suddenly heard a loud sound like that of a falling tree.

He then saw big rocks fall on their house. His mother-in-law, niece and son were inside at the time.

According to a later report by Victoria Tulad on GMA News TV's Balitanghali, Leonard, Jr. was asleep when the rockslide caused a closet to fall on him, pinning him to death.

The Bulacan PDRRMO said there were no heavy rains in the area on Friday when the rockslide occurred.

Former quarry site

Senior Superintendent Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan Police provincial director, said the house stood on a former quarry site.

The site stopped operations over 25 years ago.

Residents have asked authorities to remove the remaining rocks for their safety, but authorities said people were still living in the area.

In the meantime, residents were advised to seek safer ground.

Barangay Captain Rodolfo Cabuhat said affected residents have been warned to take safety measures.
