Death toll in Batangas school service accident now 3

The death toll in Monday morning's road accident in Batangas province involving a van that was used as a school service has climbed to three, according to Sam Nielsen's report on Super Radyo dzBB.

Citing Batangas Police chief Senior Superintendent Edwin Quilates, the report said the fatalities were the driver of the van and two senior high school students.

Aside from the fatalities, 17 other students were receiving treatment in various hospitals in the area.

Quilates earlier said the van's driver lost control after one of the vehicle's tires exploded.

The accident took place on the northbound lane of Kilometer 75 in Barangay Bugtong na Pulo in Malvar, Batangas.
