Local posts Jolo video moments after cathedral blasts

Local Marjana Imran-Jaamil of Tumikang Sama-Sama on Sunday posted a video of the situation in Jolo, Sulu a few minutes after two bombs were detonated at the Mount Carmel Cathedral.

According to Imran-Jaamil, the video showed the back of the church which was a few meters away from her.

Twin blasts hit the Mount Carmel Cathedral in Jolo in Sulu on Sunday morning, killing at least 19 individuals and injuring several others.

The bombing came after the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) was ratified in a plebiscite, with overwhelming votes coming from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Authorities have linked the Ajang-Ajang group of the Abu Sayyaf to the bombing. — Jon Viktor Cabuenas/DVM, GMA News
