Ferry hits seawall in Romblon

A ferry hit a seawall in Romblon, Romblon while maneuvering, a report on Balitanghali said on Monday.

According to the report, the noise that Navios Shipping Lines' MV Grand Venture 1 made when it hit the seawall woke up residents in the area.

According to the initial investigation, the ferry was making a maneuver when it accidentally struck the seawall.

One was reported hurt due to the incident.

The passengers on the ferry immediately alighted and were brought to the Romblon Port.

A pump boat belonging to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was affected.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Philippine National Police (PNP) Maritime Group are still investigating the cause of the incident. — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA News
